AWANA
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15)
We want to reach our community's children with the good news that Jesus died for their sins and want them to grow up using the Bible as their daily guide through the memorization of Scripture. On Wednesday nights (during the school year), we offer AWANA for children three years old to 6th grade from 6:30-8:00 PM. There is a game time, large group time, and small group workbook time. The children are encouraged to memorize scripture and complete workbooks and receive awards based on their efforts.
HOW DO I JOIN AWANA?
You may join your age- or grade-appropriate club by filling out a Registration Form and attending any club meeting. You will need to purchase a handbook and club uniform. Prices vary depending on the club, so you can see the AWANA Secretary or Commander for more details. However, no one should stay away from AWANA because of monetary concerns as scholarships for books and uniforms are available due to the generosity of our congregation.
CLUBS
CUBBIES
Preschool (3 & 4 year olds) (3 yrs old as of September 1, 2007) are in Cubbies. The goal is to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age. The Cubbies program focuses on Bible truths through songs and fun activities.
SPARKS
K5 - 2nd grade are in Sparks. The Sparks program is grounded firmly in Scripture. The goal is to take youngsters a step deeper into God's Word. Sparks club meetings are divided into three segments:
1. Bible teaching, worship, awards presentations and the gospel message;
2. Small group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessons; and3. Age-appropriate games on the AWANA game circle.TRUTH & TRAINING (T&T)
3rd - 6th graders are in Truth and Training (T&T). The goal of this club is to ensure that today's young people will become tomorrow's church leaders. The children will learn the truth about God's Word and how to follow Christ in their daily lives through Bible memorization, Bible centered achievements, and team-oriented games.
